About CHUSAN
Kotohira-gu Shrine with its 785 stone steps, Marugame Castle whose original keep stands on Japan's tallest stone walls, and Zentsu-ji Temple, birthplace of Kukai. The tower overlooking the Great Seto Bridge and Sanuki Manno Park with its seasonal flowers are also in this area. It has the densest concentration of noodle-factory-style udon shops, and udon-making classes are popular. Served by both JR and Kotoden, it is an easy day trip from Takamatsu.
